By 'eck, doesn't time go quickly? I can't believe tomorrow will be the 1st of March!
It really doesn't seem that long since I was on here putting up my last blog post, but here I am again, with nothing to show and only a catch up email. (more for my Sister In Law than anyone else.. hi Tilly!)
I've got lots of work on this week - it's the start of my demo loop again, so this Saturday I'll be down in Derby again touting my wares!!! (oooo-errrr!)
I've also got a big commission to do for the magasine, which needs to be returned on Friday, so guess what I'll be doing this week? Yep.. you guessed it... crafting.. lol. I've just had a nice quiet weekend really, so I suppose I really need to play catch up. Yesterday was nice as Carley came home for a while. It's always lovely to see her, and Scooby absolutely loves to see his buddy.. he misses her I'm sure.
However, I did spend a few hours on Friday working with my new Docrafts Kit (ooooh it's luvverly!!!) and came up with one project - it took alot of working out I can tell you, but we got there in the end.
So.. onwards and upwards - whatever you're upto this week, have a good one.. and I'll try to get back on tomorrow to upload a card or two.
Take care. xx

Finished faffing ...
I think I like my new blog design... what do you think? It's a bit pink and girly, but it matches my new Moo business cards I got yesterday!
The morning after the night before...
Jeeez.... I'm shattered this morning!
Although I'm up all bright, early and bushy tailed, I feel soooo tired this morning. It was Craft Class last night and what a blast we had! The group we have at the minute are a fab group, and we come together every two weeks for a bit of Creative Time. What better way to spend an evening eh?
And actually, I'd just like to say a BIG thank you to my friend Sharon, who comes to help me when she can. She's a treasure and a great help too. It's nice to have a friend to craft with ... and she's a great crafter! And also to another Sharon who has recently joined our group.... it's lovely to have you with us!
So, onto the projects that we did last night. Here they are -
We did a couple of new techniques, one was the Bubble background and the other was the Baby Wipe technique. Both are great ones to use, and we combined them to come up with a range of different looking projects.
This is the bubble background in more detail. It was great fun - you just have to make sure you don't get an inky nose!!
Now, these little Tea light cakes are everywhere on the web at the minute, but I used the Baby wipe technique and the stunning Stampin' Up set - Just Believe - to decorate it. The circle is just the right size to fit on the top.
We also made a little box to put the candle in too. I must admit, I'm loving the Baby Wipe technique.. it makes projects look so different with the combination of colours you can come up with!
The template for the box only took about 10 attempts before I was happy with it.. how good eh?! lol.
Well, must dash off for now.. I'm working on my blog today to get it finished - backgrounds, header etc.. But whatever you're doing.. Have fun!

Fancy a cake?
And yes.. it's the full fat, squidgery type..
I had a bit of a baking day on Sunday, and this was the result.. they went down a treat too!
I also just wanted to share a couple of photos of the wooflets, taken by Martina the other week.
I love this one of Truly.. typical Truly.. laid on the floor, one eye open keeping an eye out for whatever may happen.
And this is just sooooo Holly. She is such a beauty, but refuses to look at you when you have a camera in your hand.. lol.
Whatever you're doing today, enjoy it!

Multishaper..
What a suprise I got this morning... I visited the Docrafts website as I usually do in a morning to catch up on the Designer gossip (and also to find out when my next designer kit is coming out!) and was very suprised to see the video I shot in Bath up on the site..
Here's the card that I'd made.
All the elements of the card were made using the fab multishaper that came out last month.. combined with a bit of Tea Bag folding for the centre.
I don't need to tell you how to make it, because there's a video HERE.
I hope you like the card!

A box of butterflies
Exploding boxes are something that I find so pretty. And I think I don't make them often enough. However, this is one that I made a couple of weeks ago -
When it opens up, it looks like this -
There are a range of things used in this card/box.. Stamping and embossing, then brayering over the top has created the panels around the inside and outside of the card, and then acetate and Docrafts dimensional butterflies form the decoration in the centre.
See - I told you I could do bright... lol.
The card was given to Martina's place of 'work experience' when she left. She wanted it to say Thank You for having her. How thoughtful eh?! And she bought them chocolates... now where's mine!?!

What a Tonic...
Oh, isn't it wonderful when you discover something new?? Well, for me.. it's this..
Yes, the punched flowers. The leaves I've had for a while - cut and embossing punches, but the flowers are just fab. They're new punches from Tonic that I found the other day.. You punch out two flowers and layer them together, twisting as you go to create these little beauties.
As I needed some Thank You cards for a few things this week, I decided to use the Letterpress and the punches together to create these simple and (hopefully) stylish cards.
I've used white on white to create a single toned card.
I promise I'll be back tomorrow with a more colourful card - but I hope you like these anyway!

Fancy a cuppa?
Now, isn't this little guy so cute?
As I've said before, Carley left home before Christmas, and every so often I like to give her a card to say Hi.. so that she doesn't forget us lol.. no chance there me thinks!!
Anyway, this stamp fell on my desk when I was sorting out this last week and I thought 'perfect... I know just the person to make a card for!' In fact, I may just photograph my new workspace.. mmmm...
Holding a cuppa in each hand, I thought it was just the thing. Well, it's tradition isn't it? Someone calls at the house, you make a cup of tea.. ?!
I coloured him with copics and the card blank was cut out with a die cut to make a bit of a different look.
I hope you like it. Now, I need to go and upload some other bits to share with you over the next few days..
See you soon!

Valentines has been and gone...
so I thought I'd share my card with you.
I'm not sharing the wording inside, and the outside was kept clean and simple.
I hope you like it!

Where did that week go?
In fact, where is this month going??
It doesn't seem too long since I posted but looking back, it's been ages! I haven't even gotten around to updating my blog - I started it, never finished it, and now started it again to give it a fresh look.
So many things have happened this last week - youngest daughter has finished her Work Experience and has absolutely loved it. She's back at school now, but is so chuffed to have been offered a holiday job working at the place she did her WE. The whole place seemed so friendly too. They really liked her and said they'll miss her too. How lovely!
It has also been a bit mad making cards for various things - not least my new venture into Wedding Stationery. I have done some bits in the past, and everyone always loves them, and I always say I'm going to give it a go .... so I've decided to make it a more permanent thing... but more on that another time.
Now, my friend Sharon has celebrated her birthday too today. This is the card I made and delivered this morning.
The card is a Kanban kit that I bought ages ago.. and as Sharon likes pink, it seemed perfect for the job. Here it is a little bit closer -
I will post the rest of the cards in the coming days, so please check back.. See you soon!

How sweet is this little munchkin?? Meet Holly. She's one cute little girl, that's for sure and she is my friend Sharon's little girl.
She is a bit shy sometimes, a right little chatterbox and cuddlybud at others, and I think my photos show this quite well.. I hope you like!

Sunny sunshine..
This is what this card reminds me of...
I was asked for a birthday card, and was told the person liked flowers.. so what better than this beautiful, lesser used paper from Kay and Co.. I am sure it's their pad anyway.. will have to check. But it's a bit loud, so I've left it festering in my paper draw for a while.
I coloured the image with copics and prismas to match in with the papers. And I think she looks rather lovely. I embellished the card with some lovely flowers and a few gems here and there.
I even managed to decorate the inside..
I must admit.. these papers may feature a little bit more on my projects - so bright, sunny shiny and great!
Have a good day whatever you're doing!

Welcome baby ..
This is the type of card that I don't make that often. Baby cards.
But I was asked if I could do one, and this is what I came up with. The papers are DCWV and they went with my colour scheme really well.
I coloured the image using copics and prismas.
And going against tradition, I even decorated the inside of the card!
All in all, I'm quite pleased with it, and so is the person who wanted it.
Now today, I am still in mourning.. my beloved, devoted, wonderfully comfortable office chair is no more. It has left me to reside in the Staples of the sky... and I had to buy another. The leg broke. I went flying. The dogs ran for cover.
So. I bought a new chair. And then I realised how much I'm going to miss my big, leather companion that has supported my bum for many years. So much so, that I've tried to bodge it to see if I can get it to live on a little longer, but the sad looking puffy cushioned black sections are now in a box destined for the tip. Sad days.
If you have a chair that you love, I'm sure you'll be with me on this .... so long... comfy chair! Haha.

Morning skies...
What a beautiful sky it was yesterday morning. All fluffy and pink, and I just had to grab my camera to take a photo.
It only stayed like this for a short time, so I'm glad I managed to get a picture. Later in the day - and in fact this morning - the weather has taken a bit getting used to! We've got gales around here and a bit of wet stuff thrown in for good measure too! Great eh?!
Later this morning, I have the pleasure of meeting my daughter in town at the 'posh coffee shop'. Mmmm.. Posh + me = not very!
Whatever your day is like, I hope you have a good one.

New home
Ooooh now... posting three days on the trot.. that's a first for a long time isn't it?!
It's just a quick card from me today because I'm out and about doing what I need to do, but I know I haven't shared this card with you.
When my daughter moved out, I promised to keep her 'posted' and send her mail hopefully each week.. lol.. Does anyone else do that??
Anyway, this is one of the cards I sent her. It's a new home card, and what perfect image to use than the Stampin' Up Neighbourhood wheel. I love this image.
The trim was done with a MS punch and I added some of the lovely aqua PM pearls. the wording is glittered, but it doesn't show too well on the card.
Right.. onward and outward, I need to make a move.. so take care whatever you're upto today.

more birds...
Today, I thought I'd share this card with you.
I hope you liked the album that I shared yesterday, and today's project uses the Birdsong stamps to create this simple card.
I used a mixture of colours to create the background of the card and decided to use a couple of different size trees to stamp silhouettes onto it. The branches at the top are coloured with white gel pen and the greeting was stamped in a circle aperture that I punched out.
I hope you like it.
