Meet Cecil..

Now isn't he a cheeky little fella??

He is my new Christmas 2008 ornament - the first new one for this year! My wonderful daughter Carley bought him for me from Dobbies last week.. isn't he the cutest thing??!!

I did tell my OH that deccies were going up early, and Cecil is now sat pride of place on my shelf!!

What? You think that's early?? Naaah... the Christmas Deccies are going up on Doncaster Lakeside this week!! Whoo hoo.. Santa's arriving!!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!
LOL

spoooooooooky!

Another little batch of Hallowe'en cards here, that were made by me and my daughter Carley, for her work colleagues. I did the stamping and she helped with the layout of the cards.

This little bear (I think) is a Me to You bear... I drew it onto a piece of cardstock -isn't he cute?! I found him on the web somewhere, can't remember where, but thought he fitted in well with the spooky theme!
All the following cards were made using a cuttlebug embossing folder, stamps and Doodlebug papers and embellishments.. Very spooky, but very cute me thinks!

This litte bag was full of Rainbow drops and had a little Pumpkin Poop poem.. sweet!

Forever lovely!

The little forever friends are highly addictive you know! I was playing, as you know, with the Christmas and Celebration sets down at Papermill on Friday.
Here are some samples that I took with me. I hope you like them too.
This was using a little christmas stamp, stamped in white and outlined with white gel pen. Shadows were created with a white pencil.

This is a sheet of paper from the Celebration set, just cut and added to the card. The wording was stamped with the new PM clear stamps and then coloured and had Anita's tacky glue put over to add a shine. Dimensional stickers add a finishing touch.

A sticker was used on this card, along with a little bit of paper pleating. Simple!

I decided to give this stamp a sepia look. I coloured with brush markers and then used a blender pen to pull out some of the colour. Papers are Forever Friends by PM.

There's a little suprise in this one .. if you open it up, you get a bar of chocolate! A nice simple little package for that special person!

With love...

Our next challenge is up and running over on the Forever Friends Challenge blog. There are some wonderful entries this week from the Design Team, go and take a look..

Surprises!

I was down at Papermill in South Normanton yesterday, doing a Forever Friends demo for Docrafts.. I had a fantastic day and everything sold brilliantly! So, happy stamping to everyone who bought the kits!! Also, thank you for all your kind words, and for coming to see me on a freezing cold day.. I appreciate it!

Anyway, apart from this, I ended up with a bad back today, so I'm hurting! ouchy! But, after carrying on doing everything I usually do on a day off work, I returned home to find a package of goodies on my doorstep..

This is what I got.

AND... this lovely card!

Isn't it wonderful? Just like an abundance of Christmas in a bag! It's the Blog Candy that I won from Emma.. Believe me, the picture doesn't do it justice... so thank you every so much Emma, I love everything!!!

And you will definately find out what I've made because I'll email you! lol..

Anyway, I'm off for now.. if I get there, I'm going to a craft show at the Dome in Doncaster tomorrow.. the best one of the region! I'll let you know what I may or may not have bought when I get back! Oh.. and I've got some rubber to show you all too.. curious? you will be!

Winter Wonderland

well, that's what it looks like this morning.. I decided I was stopping in bed this morning because it was absolutely f-r-e-e-z-i-n-g!!!!!!!
This is a bit like what it looks like in my garden - however, I'm not spending time outside cos I'm a wuss today.. I really don't mind the cold weather - in fact, I love it, but my wooly pullies have still got to be unpacked ! It's only this last week that my heating's been on all year, so it must be cold.
At least we don't have snow.......................... yet!

And finally...

Here are a few photos of the pupsters taken in the last couple of weeks.. Scooby is looking quite like a young gentleman now.. so handsome. Holly is Little Miss Dainty, just as she always has been, and Truly - the bonkers cocker, again, as usual! lol.. She is getting better though.. and looks like a little princess now compared to when she arrived in May.

Mr Scoobster... ''Mummy, I found a twig''..

Little Miss Hollypops ... ''Simon says, put your ears on your head''

Truly Scrumptious - just how big is that tongue??!!!

Five minute chocolate cake!

Blimey - if only I liked Chocolate cake, this would be great... but I can take it or leave it, it doesn't make a difference to me really.. BUT... as Katy sent me the recipe the other day, we just had to try it out.. my daughter being a little Gordon Ramsey and all (in more ways than one!)..

This is the recipe..

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

  • Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.
  • Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
  • Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
  • Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
  • Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1 000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
  • Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
  • EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

Now then.. for proof that we made it, here are some piccies.

The cup that we used is around 7 inches tall..

slightly out of focus photo... but look at this lovely cake!!! Yummy!

Perfect!!!
